About Emails for Supabase
We build email tooling for developers. Supabase auth emails were an obvious gap, so we filled it.
Who built this
Emails for Supabase is made by the team behind Chamaileon, an email-tooling company, not a generic template shop. We’ve spent years on the nuts-and-bolts of email: inlining CSS that survives Outlook, previewing across clients, keeping templates on-brand at scale. That’s the experience baked into this tool.
Why it exists
Every Supabase project ships auth emails: confirmation, magic link, password reset, change email, and by default they’re bare and off-brand. The dashboard editor takes basic HTML but leaves you to inline CSS by hand, with no real-data preview and no protection against clients that break your layout. Developers mid-build don’t want to become email engineers for an afternoon. So we made a tool that reads your brand from your site and hands back tested, paste-ready templates with the real GoTrue merge tags already wired in.
The creators
Emails for Supabase is made by EDMdesigner.com Kft., the Hungarian company behind Chamaileon and EDMdesigner, and it’s driven day-to-day by one developer.
Gyula works on the hands-on core of email at EDMdesigner.com Kft., rendering, cross-client HTML, and template tooling. Emails for Supabase is his: he built it to close the gap between Supabase’s bare default auth emails and production-ready, on-brand HTML, and he owns the code and the templates. If an exported snippet looks wrong, he’s the one to hold accountable.
The ecosystem, honestly
This tool doesn’t exist in isolation. Here’s how the pieces fit, without the marketing gloss:
- Chamaileon, our email builder for teams that design and collaborate on email, a lot.
- Chamaileon SDK, for developers who want to embed email building inside their own product. If you’re building email editing into your app, this is the path.
- EDMdesigner, one of the first visual email designers and email builder API ever made, started back in 2013! (deprecated)
Emails for Supabase is the free, focused entry point: a single, Supabase-specific job done well.
